~Meet the Golf Instructors~

Blake Mason is the Warm Spring Golf Course assistant manager.  

Blake has been employed at Warm Springs Golf Course since 1989 and has served as the Assistant General Manager since 1993. He has been an Assistant Golf Professional since 1998.

Blake has been involved in the management and operation of the golf course throughout his tenure and has been responsible for all merchandising and buying for the golf shop. In 2007, Blake was received the Merchandiser of the Year Award for public golf facilities from the Rocky Mountain Section of the PGA. Blake was nominated for this prestigious award by his peers.

Actively involved in junior golf instruction and programs, Blake served as Tournament Director for the AJGA Boise Junior Classic at Warm Springs from 1999-2001.

In 2006, Blake received his Class A PGA Certification and was elected to full PGA Membership.

A graduate of Boise State University, Blake was a member of the Boise State University Golf Team. 

 

John Russell is an Assistant Golf Professional and the Tournament Director at Warm Springs Golf Course.  John has been a PGA Apprentice since 2006.  Since 2001, John has been instructing the Warm Springs Junior Golf Team, and has been teaching individual and group adult lessons since 2006.

John played golf for three years at Boise High School (2000 - 2002), then attended Eastern Oregon and Boise State University.

 

 

Stu Hampton is an Assistant Golf Professional. Stu received his Class A PGA certification and was elected to full PGA Membership in January 2023.  Stu teaches youth and adult lessons, both group and individual lessons. Also, Stu provides club fitting services to help golfers order golf equipment specifically made for their swing.
